Nominations

We are now accepting nominations for new members here. These can be self-nominations or come from an existing member. The deadline for nominations is Monday, May 20th, 2024, 11:59 pm US Pacific Time.

The nomination form should be self-explanatory and requires a brief description of the nominee's research area, a link to one representative publication, a nomination statement that addresses the nominee's contributions to memory research, and a CV. There is also a voluntary question to provide the opportunity to contextualize the nominee's contributions in terms of their career/life opportunities, experiences, disruptions, etc. After nomination, each nominee will receive an email informing them they have been nominated and inviting them to complete an optional demographics questions taken from the MDRS DEI survey.

You are encouraged to consider diversity when making your nominations. Research shows that diversity increases scientific excellence (see here and here). Diversity can take many forms, including diversity based on race, culture, nationality, geographic location, socioeconomic background, gender identity, disability, and more. How will your nominee contribute to the demographic and experiential diversity of MDRS? Think of two colleagues who will increase the diversity of our membership, and either nominate them yourself or encourage them to self-nominate!
