The broad purpose of the fund is to support JEDI aims, and the principles of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in the context of memory research related activities.
The nature of the activities can range from method development, project development, experimental research, collaboration or training activities (as long as these pertain to JEDI aims and memory research).
For the 2025 application call, priority will be given to applications that focus on memory research in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMIC) as well as justice-related research, with other applications considered.
• The principal applicant does not need to be a member of MDRS, but the project must involve at least one MDRS member.
• The team may also include research students, trainees and post-doctoral fellows, but not as applicants.
• MDRS members may be associated with a maximum of one application per call.
Members of the JEDI committee will evaluate all applications on the following basis:

• A clear description of the objective and research activities (e.g., if experimental – research hypothesis, methodology, population, analysis)
• The potential impact and significance of the proposed activity
• Feasibility of the proposed activities

• Proposal includes a clear and justified collaboration if a team is proposed.
• Two awards with a maximum of $5,000 are available.

• Applications are due June 1, 2025.
